The compact size of the printer has made it popular not just among the office users but also among the home users too. But while printing a document we come across the warning which says the printer is low on ink, which is not always true. So today we will look into ways that will help you fix the issue. If you come across any difficulty while following the steps given here then contact HP Printer Customer Support.

FIXING THE ISSUE

The right step to solve the problem would be by disabling the low ink warning. You can do this by following the steps given below-

  • First right click on the all apps icon on your computer screen.
  • Then click on the printer configuration or printer smart utility.
  • Then click on the configuration or on tools and utility on the print application toolbar.
  • Now click on the estimated ink level icon of the printer.
  • Then let the application communicate with the printer and check the real status of the ink level in the printer.
  • Now click on the advanced setting or advanced configuration tab that is displayed on your computer screen.
  • Then enable the ‘do not show me low ink level warning’ and then click on the OK button. Then close the print application.

But in case if the warning sign is true then refill the cartridge by-

  • First, start by removing the ink cartridge from the printer. Then flip the first cartridge over so that the metal contacts on the bottom of the cartridge becomes visible.
  • Now align the contacts on the bottom of the cartridge with the assistance of the clip reset device.
  • First press the clip reset device firmly against the bottom of the cartridge until it locks into the ink tank.
  • Then press the button of the reset device for about three to five seconds. This shall stop flashing of the LED light.
  • Now use the device to reset chips in another cartridge for the printer as needed.
  • Then reinsert the cartridge in the printer and initialize it according to your convenience.
  • Now you can use the printer like you normally would as the sign of low ink now stop displaying on your computer screen.
