About You:: I am a burn survivor and have been struggling to conceal my permanent bald spot every single day since April 12, 1992. Having lost my hair for 24 years now and for the rest of my life, plus me being a woman, makes this confession so much more humiliating.
Me already knowing that the government does not provide a specially designated healthcare solution, or any extra understanding or considerations within any medical insurance to burn survivors.
I feel just sickened by this knowledge already as if that first reality of being severely burned with permanent scarring wasn’t bad enough, there is also an even more discouraging saga that unfolds before me now…..

I can't get disability or SSI it seems....due to a fluke car theft that happened on the property of.... (the place I was originally taken to and who is the FIRST facility that treated me for my burns initially -way back when I had gotten burned at the age of twelve)…….. Brooke Army Medical Center - a Military hospital, and in 2011 this hospital happened to be transferring my medical records alongside of 4.9 million other patients records linked by this one company named Tri-care.
S.A.I.C. recruited a civilian employee to handle and move data sensitive files for B.A.M.C.
A civilian gets hired to move data sensitive files for a military hospital?? This civilian worker hired by S.A.I.C. who had placed the box that contained those data sensitive files inside his car ended up getting his car stolen from the parking lot of what is now known as San Antonio Military Medical Center. What do you do…. if YOU were ME?

Well.....I guess I'd have to say I have fallen through the cracks of our justice system in a way .....but wait where is the justice when it comes to the set backs that I have suffered from not being able to supply my disability claim with my background medical records BECAUSE the military decided to hire a civilian whom turned out to be too incompetent to transport a box in a timely manner subsequently leaving opportunity for a thief to steal his vehicle. Isn't there camera's on the hospital parking lot? You have to show an I.D. just to be able to get onto the property anyways so how did this thief make it in there to begin with?
