The fair is free and located at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Seneca Skate Center across the street from the Germantown Outdoor Swimming Pool at 18900 Kingsview Road, Germantown, MD 20874.  There are 33 different classes and activities.  You can attend as many or as few as you like. Some of the classes are: alternative power options, container and square foot gardening, CPR training in English and Spanish, self-defense, various ways to cook in an emergency, water purification and storage, wills and trusts, budgeting and getting out of debt, dehydrating fruit & vegetables, sewing techniques, canning fruits and vegetables in bottles, likely disaster scenaros for this area, using whole grains to cook delicious recipes

Some displays in the gym:  Candle making, What should be in your 72-hour emergency kit, types of emergency equipment to have around the house, where to buy emergency supplies, emergency communications-ham radios, walkie-talkie, etc.
